Hey, I’m Hannah, thank you for visiting my page
I am a wife to Neil and proud mum to Jackson, who is my little bestie. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me at the beach with Jax throwing stones in the sea - I think he may have nearly built a pathway to the Isle of Wight with the amount of stones thrown in the water at the same place haha!) He fills my days with so much laughter and also a large amount of mischief! Motherhood has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of cherishing each moment as time really does go by so fast. 

What got me into photography?
I’ve always been quite an arty person and used to love taking photos growing up but never saw myself having a career within a creative industry. I had a spare slot on my A level timetable and photography was the subject that filled the gap! Ironically, this was only subject I ended up getting a qualification in as I had major spinal surgery (scoliosis) during my final year. My assessments were on film so I taught myself photoshop and digital photography since leaving college and I'd say my style is constantly evolving and there is ALWAYS room for improvement and progression.

I finally launched Hannah Lucy Photography at the end of 2013, specialising in my love for weddings as well as newborn photography.. I decided to take the plunge to go full time in 2018 and I’ve never looked back! Well...apart from Covid (lets not talk about that!), it was a pretty rough few years for the industry but I can honestly say have my dream job! 

In my free time I love to...
Swim! I rejoined a swimming club at the beginning of 2022, to do something for myself after having Jackson.  By September I had my first competition (in 18 years) which gave me the buzz to do more! In June '23 won 4 gold medals at the Hampshire Masters county champs and that qualified me to the Masters National Championships in Sheffield. Watch this space ;)

#4 Morning person or night owl? I always have new ideas around 10pm (my brain never sleeps) so I'd have to say night owl!

#7 Where’s the best place you’ve travelled? Singapore. It’s a fascinating place & would love to go back one day!
