What To Expect During Your Newborn Session
To get the most out of your newborn session, I advise keeping your newborn awake for at least an hour before the session.
As your newborn will be naked/nappy-less for a lot of the shoot, please do not be embarrassed if you're little one decides to have an accident on me or the fabrics. This is perfectly normal, and I am usually surprised when this doesn't happen!
I may ask you to help me position your newborn, or be a 'spotter' for me whilst I take a shot. Newborn safety is paramount and I ensure your baby will not be left in an uncomfortable position etc. My sessions are very much led by your baby, so if he/she doesn't like a certain position, we will move on to the next thing.
Top up feeds are sometimes advised if the baby becomes unsettled at any point.
Don't worry, capturing awake shots of newborns are just as beautiful as asleep ones, but I will be restricted to not using props until baby is in a deep sleep.
9 times out of 10, there will be at least a few minutes within a session where baby sleeps! I'll just have to work quickly!
I don't need much space. I suggest your bedroom could be a good place for the photos, or the living room near a window. I mainly use natural light so as long as I have about a double bed amount of space that will be plenty of room.
Your gallery will be ready within approximately 2 weeks. You will then get a link to a personal online gallery via my website where you can view and download your images.
The in home lifestyle sessions are £395 and that is inclusive of approx. 25 images to download.
No, of course, you don't! But - I suggest you choose an outfit should you change your mind during the session, as this happens more often than not.
